Our Commitment to Safety

At Growing Smiles, we have always made patient safety a top priority, therefore we are happy to share the additional steps we are taking to make every visit to our office as safe as possible. These actions are in addition to our normal standards of care that meet or exceed all CDC, OSHA and ADA guidelines for dental practices.

Our goal is to keep your family safe while providing the best care possible. As always, we welcome the opportunity to answer any of your questions and to address all concerns.

Prior to your next visit…

If a patient OR person in the household has developed a fever, sore throat, cough, loss of taste or smell, or any respiratory symptoms, please call our office at (309-685-4444) to reschedule the appointment.

If anyone in the home is under quarantine or awaiting a pending COVID-19 test, please also contact the office so we can determine whether the patient needs to be rescheduled.

At your next visit…

  1. Please wait in your car and call the office when you arrive (309-685-4444). We will ask you a few pre-screening COVID-19 questions and we will then confirm with you when it is safe to come in to the office. This will allow us time to socially distance our families as much as possible.
  2. We are currently asking only ONE parent or caregiver to accompany our patients to their appointments. Please try to limit additional siblings without appointments, if possible. Please know that we may ask siblings without appointments to wait in the car with the caregiver, pending the number of patients in the office at that time and/or within our discretion. This allows for better social distancing if needed. We do encourage our parents to wait in the car if they prefer as well, as we will gladly accompany your child through their appointment.
  3. Healthcare facilities are still under mandates, which require masks to be worn by everyone inside the building.  Every patient, caregiver and sibling are required to wear a mask properly once inside the office. The mask should cover your mouth and nose.
